The third podcast is up, with almost half an hour's worth of opinions on the 11-APR-2007 Mythbusters show with hypno content. Next week, Hypnosubmission101 Part One, with more general and less net-oriented content than I've done when I've given the lecture on, say, Yahoo! or Paltalk.

The question of what submission is should be the first thing considered, of course... and that's always an interesting topic. I'm pretty well convinced that the difference between submission and slavery is of degree, and that the two are no so much apples and oranges as I've seen on various online communities. Thoughts?

The stage show was better than I expected, and as always that was a combination of the chemistry with the crowd, the skills of the hypnotist, and the people who volunteered... not necessarily in that order. The hypnotist was good, but his setups weren't all that creative, really. It was the standard "really drunk/Jerry Springer/Exotic dancer/switch peoples' genders/good smell-bad smell" thing. But the crowd was respectful and quiet where they needed to be, and noisy when desired (right up to the end of the show, where energy started to run down... it was almost 10:30 on a Sunday, after all!).

Best of all, the volunteers were all so suggestible that of the nine who went up, not one was sent back down! I've never seen that happen before. There wasn't even one ass who went up there to show off, one person who wasn't really willing to do things. One guy declined a suggestion to be an exotic dancer, but five minutes before he'd been happily playing with "his" new female genitals and then getting "fucked" by a woman with a "penis," so I don't think it was basic shyness... and as soon as that bit was over he slumped right over again.

That was what made the show for me in general. In specific, though, the fun part was that I was in Domme-mode that night and informed sweetboy, my pet, that a) I would be selecting his meal for the night, and b) he was going to be going up onstage. He responded perfectly, with nerves but understanding. We also met up with someone from Collarme.com, someone who'd wanted to meet me for more than six months.

As commanded, he did go up on stage when the time came. He's deeply conditioned to hypnosis, so in moments he was already going deep. We're buying the DVD for the express purpose of showing him what he actually looks like as he's being hypnotized. (I think he finds that pretty hot.) The hypnotist got them under, looked them over, turned to the crowd, grinned, and said "This is gonna be really good."

There were four men and five women up there, and as a result my pet got to get his hands all over a really cute little blonde who was sitting next to him during the "good smell" part. On the way home, he said "I've never gotten to ravish anyone before!" Too cute. :) She was almost in his lap like he was an oversized teddy bear at one point, and he was soooo happy-looking up there.

During the Jerry Springer segment, his bi-ness was showing. The hypnotist was going down the line, doing the usual "what's going on here?" thing and getting the usual responses about "That's my baby daddy" and "she's sleeping with him!" thing. When he got to sweetboy, though, my pet crossed his arms, stared at the (really built) guy next to him, and said "He cheated on me with those two women!" This, of course, brought the house down.

Then they did the obligatory gender switch thing, and I think he had way more fun than the other guys. The exotic dancer thing went about as expected. I was so very proud of him.

The guy we were meeting was nice, and he went under during the inductions himself. Alas, someone bumped him and woke him up partway through. Still, he had a good time and asked me to hypnotize him at some point.

All in all, it was a great night. The hypnotist is coming back in October, and I might go see him again then.

So close and yet so far... again. I discuss the 11-APR-2007 Mythbusters episode and my opinions - and I do have them, on everything from process to ethics!
